Simon was set up on the couch with a pillow under his feet and one behind his head. His mum had brought him a nice birthday breakfast of pancakes and bacon shaped to look like the number 18. Simon couldn't eat much currently, but it was sweet of her to remember his birthday even after the disaster that had been the last week.
He was reading a book, a magical mystery series in which the Auror was chasing some dark wizard. It was set in the time before Potter defeated Voldemort and Creevey murdered Potter. It had been a series their dad had read, and now, since Simon was home a lot more, it was simply something for him to do. He. Was. Bored.
He sipped some pumpkin juice, and moved to sit up when he saw his mother walk into the room. She shushed him and motioned him to lay back down. "You've got a visitor." She said.
"Oh?" Simon asked, perking up just a bit. He looked around her to see who had come calling.
