Ron was a little taken aback by the intense change in Draco. It had been a long time since he had seen that boy who had been one of his rivals in school. He much preferred the man who was his lover. It brought up a lot of memories of Draco that Ron had buried deep in the recesses of his mind. Ron gripped Susan just a little harder and held her tight until they were safely ensconced in their room. It was small. He wasn't sure the three of them would fit on the bed, but that was okay. Ron imagined he wouldn't get much sleep in here through the night anyway. There was already one worrisome cobweb he had noticed in an unforgotten corner of the room.
He reached into the bag and felt around for a bottle of water. He pulled out five of them, all he could find. He'd let Susan and Draco have this water, and he'd take the tap. He'd drank worse water, especially during the years when he was in hiding, and that year "camping" with Harry and Hermione.
"Here" He said, sitting on the bed next to Susan. He cracked the water bottle open and handed her the bottle. He helped her drink. Once she had her fill, he stood up and walked over to Draco.
Ron stood in front of his partner for a long second, and slowly wrapped his arms around him. He forgave Draco for the person he had to be, for the act he had to perform, for the past he had lived and accepted Draco for the man he was now; his lover, his partner, his friend. "I love you." Ron whispered into his ear. "I love you."
