Dominic and Henry were both asleep and Ginny felt the weight of the last two days heavy on her shoulders. With three of her brothers seriously hurt and Rabastan's brother still unconscious, Ginny was beyond worried. She needed some peace, however fleeting it may be. She'd asked her husband to please come to bed early so they could have some alone time. Ginny knew that away from owls, journals, and Floo calls was exactly what they both needed.
Walking into the bedroom with two glasses of bourbon in hand, Ginny smiled upon seeing Rabastan sitting up in bed, his glasses on and reading. She never found him more attractive than when he was relaxing with his glasses. Walking up to his side of the bed, Ginny set his drink down on the nightstand before taking the parchment from his hands. "Wife time," she said with a small smirk before leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. Ginny straightened up and took a sip from her glass, sighing happily at the taste. Rabastan had taught her so much, but teaching her to appreciate a fine bourbon was near the top of that list.
Ginny settled down next to Rabastan, feeling her stress already starting to melt away for a moment. "You need to stop looking so handsome like that, you know. It's unfair. I'm supposed to be the gorgeous one and here you are, glasses and stubble on your chin. Honestly, how can I possibly compete?"
