Who: Simon McLaggen and Adam Savage (and NPC man) What: Held Captive When: Saturday, February 10-Sunday, February 11, late at night Where: Tinworth Rating: Low
Simon McLaggen wasn't brave. He wasn't courageous or decisive or even all that confident. At best he was unassuming, and at worst he was pusillanimous. Oh, of course he was loyal, and caring, and kind, but these things did not make him brave, and that was why Simon never expected himself to be here in this room.
It was small. There were three beds, one for each of them. The small window that looked outside was spelled shut. Each of them had tried at one point or another to get it open in case they could escape. None of them wanted to be here. The other young man, a couple years older than Simon, had been really angry and frustrated, but he was quiet now.
Simon had spent the better part of the hours he had been awake crying. The tears came for his dog, Mishka, who had been killed only hours ago. They came because he was convinced that no one would notice him missing. They came because for the first time Simon realized just how lonely he really was.
Of course he tried to hide his tears. His boyfriend's father was here with him. They'd met before, once, at an awkward dinner. And while Simon had liked him, he didn't know him well enough to allow himself to cry on his shoulder. At this point, Simon had few people whose shoulder he felt comfortable crying on. Cor was traveling around the world, and Becca was chasing her dreams in Hollywood. Simon hadn't had much contact with his adoptive mum since he had been so busy with work. His boyfriend, Apollo, well, it wasn't always the best relationship. In many ways, Simon simply felt alone. And being here made it that much worse.
When a guard came to take the other man away, Simon turned to Adam with a shocked and worried expression. "Adam?" He asked, his voice shaky. While Simon was technically an adult, in this moment he truly showed how young he was. "Do you think they're going to kill us?"
