The tables were packed. Almost all of the tables were filled with visitors and those who's injuries hadn't been bad enough to warrant a stay in the injury ward. Cassius had just come from Nora's room; he hadn't stayed long, mostly long enough to assure himself that she would live. His next stop was Mel. But first he needed a cuppa to calm himself down.
He liked this body; this person was pretty unassuming. His body shape was similar to his own, and the coloring was near enough to his own that it didn't throw him when he caught sight of his reflection, but it was different enough that he didn't draw suspicion to anyone in the area. The bodies had been a gift from Nora. She kept him well supplied in polyjuice and donations. Sure, it tasted like cabbage soup, but it allowed him the opportunity to leave Tinworth to see Nora and his godson, and occasionally to cause havoc. Mostly, he used it to see Nora and Gray.
He could feel a lump form in his throat. It'd been ages since he'd felt like this. The fear of losing Nora was simply too much. He was glad he was here in the cafe, and that he didn't immediately go up to Mel's room because he wasn't sure he could keep his features still around the other woman. He took a sip of tea to pretend that the heat was what caused his eyes to water.
As he noted before, all the chairs were filled. Except one. It was at a table with a girl--a woman--he thought looked familiar. He knew her from Hogwarts but he couldn't recall her name right off the tip of his tongue. He walked over and coughed softly, "Mind if I take up this seat?"
