Cho didn't sleep that night. She'd written Callista a note, packed her bag with her more important possessions and clothes. Thank goodness for magic as it allowed her to take a great deal of things in a very small bag. She sat in her dark bedroom, watching the hours tick by. Ten o'clock. Eleven. Twelve.
It had been months since she'd even spoken to Remus. The last time she'd seen him she was in the custody of the Ministry following her run in with Rodolphus. She couldn't blame Remus for calling things off. Their relationship, for lack of a better term, wasn't sustainable. It had hurt, more than she cared to admit, but Cho knew it was for the best. It had surprised her just how much she'd missed his company in the following months, but she did her best to put their fling behind her.
That as until she'd heard Remus had been taken to Tinworth. Bole was a man Cho actively avoided. He terrified her, right to her very core. She had no intention of crossing him, but... but she couldn't stand to know Remus was suffering. It had taken far too long to spot a chance and every day that passed by was excruciating.
Her chance came rather suddenly. The last few nights Bole had left Remus chained up outside. She scrawled a message to Katie and made her decision. It was time.
The moon had passed several days previously, but was still bright enough in the sky that Cho took the precaution to dress in a dark cloak. As she left her house for the final time, Cho quietly and carefully advanced towards Bole's home. The sight of Remus chained up outside broke her heart. He as a man of dignity and honor and this was...
Cho sighed. With her wand pulled, Cho cast a look around before carefully approaching Remus. Bole was a sick, twisted individual and Cho had no way of knowing how Remus would react when she approached. "Remus," Cho said quietly. "It's Cho, love. We're going to go home now."
