Dancing! Angel Rivers and Gareth Reynolds
The sense of absolute nothing caused her to look up at the person talking. Everyone felt like something to her, but this man was blank. Empty. Was this person real? Angel felt her mind quiet as if there were no memories to pick up on and that alone intrigued her. A slow, sleepy smile appeared on her face as his words really registered with her. He wanted to dance with her.
That was strange.
There were plenty of people out on the dance floor and if she accepted? Well, she'd have to end up in that crowd. The offer to dance was so tempting though! No one ever asked her to dance. She was the one most people ignored, even if her blood was pure.
"I accept," she heard herself saying in her normal soft voice. The emptiness made her want to get closer. Would that emptiness silence the noise around them? After a second she gave him a real smile, one that actually made her eyes light up with some sort of emotion. The man in front of her could be a horrible person or some such, but she didn't care at the moment. She was far too enticed by the empty that was in him, which was why she had agreed to dance with a complete stranger.
