Who: Georgina Smythe and Cho Chang When: Saturday morning Where: Diagon Alley? Wherever :p What: Shopping Rating: Low Status: In Progress
Gina really wasn't a fan of shopping. Well that wasn't entirely true - set her loose in a bookstore and she could lose herself among the stacks for hours, but shopping for clothes was a different matter entirely. Especially dress robes. It seemed like an awful lot of money to spend on an outfit that she would only wear once. And she didn't even want to go to this damn thing - spending an evening with a bunch of pureblood society types was so far out of her element, the thought kind of made her want to vomit. But that was just nerves.
Still, Cho was insisting that she go and she was coming to terms with the fact that she really didn't have anything in her closet that would be remotely appropriate. Not that anyone was likely to notice what she was wearing - there would be plenty of society types to get all of the attention, which Gina was perfectly fine with. The last party she had gone to she had actually spent the better part of the evening trying to blend in with the punch bowl. Which meant that she just ended up serving drinks all night as people thought she was part of the hired help... Well okay so maybe she didn't want to reprise that again.
But as much as she dreaded shopping, at least spending the morning with Cho would be fun. If nothing else they could commiserate about the annoyance of having to spend their time on such frivolous things? Although she suspected Cho was actually looking forward to this a bit more than she was letting on... Then again, she had a date. Or an escort, whatever. Her mind completely lost in thought and her legs apparently on auto-pilot as she walked across the Hogwarts grounds, Gina didn't even notice that she had made it to Hogsmeade until she was standing right outside Cho's door. She knocked and started fidgeting a bit as she waited for her friend to answer.
