Her mind kept at that ridiculously annoying game of tug-of-war for the duration of her wait, which seemed like a bloody life time. Good idea, bad idea, Good idea, bad idea. Finally, whether it had been a good idea or a bad idea didn't matter any more. There was no going back when she heard the voice of a young man reaching her. Tonks pushed herself up to stand upright, grinning at the boy. He was tallish, but still had that bright glow about him. Bright glows were bad. Bright glows didn't tend to go hand in hand with dead bodies. He still looked ridiculously young and that made something in her chest ache, but he still looked like her could at least stand for himself were anything to go.. Awry. But with what they were about to face, she could only hope he could hold his stomach just as well.
Before she could chastise him and give him the proper Tonks "N." Tonks introduction, the type that included several creative and colourful threats involving a mixture of one's immediate self and ancient chinese fire ant torture if one were to keep referring to her as the N word, a cheery and familiar voice beat her straight to the punch. Tonks turned with a smile as Alicia Spinnet came trotting towards them. It took her a moment then as she realised she barely recognised the girl, so much had she matured. Whether it was just the effects of her age or the effects, she couldn't tell. At that point she didn't want to. Alicia put up a strong front, but there was a flicker of a shadow to her. A tension that seemed to ring out around the edges. They were about to trot into a field full of carcasses and the ashes that used to be people's skin, after all. And here she was still putting up a strong front. Brave girl. Tonks grinned. "Long time no see, Spinnet. Hardly recognized you."
With a sigh, Tonks turned to Dennis, reaching out her hand. "You can just call me Tonks. I'll explain it to you later." She grinned, "Welcome to the Order. So." She sighed, using it to fully compose herself. "You heard Alicia. You ready for your first trek?"
