It wasn't easy, preparing yourself to face death. In fact, it was a downright daunting task. Though in the confines of her small apartment, right in the middle of Painfully-Muggle-Town, Scotland, it seemed distant and far away. A fuzzy memory at best. Even though death wasn't a stranger to her - something she'd seen before - she feared desperately that she had vastly overestimated her nerves.
Walking through the forest just outside of Crowden seemed only to make her heart rabbit in her chest. She could still catch the smell the fires, the stench lingering under the canopy of the trees. She tugged at her dark jacket as she was careful not to trip over anything or make too much noise. At least she'd managed to dress appropriately for the occasion. That is, the occasion where she was about to sneak around in an area where Death Eaters still might be lingering, not so much viewing of what was left of the dead. Though blacks and dark greys were appropriate for that too.
"Oy, don't go calling her that." Alicia mentioned walking up nearly the same time Dennis had managed to find Tonks, only on the other side of her. Her hands, trembling a little, slipped into her pockets. She braved a smile to the two before her eyes slipped to the elder Order member. "You ready for this, Tonks?"
