She shook her head slowly, giving a small laugh despite herself when he told her not to worry, "'Oo don't understand...I will worry no matter what. Et iz somezing zat I cannot 'elp." She cared about him, therefore, she would worry no matter how much he protested that. He was targeted just as much as anyone else was in the war. He could tell her not to worry until he was breathless, but it still would not change a thing.
She was definitely relieved that he passed as an average, ordinary muggle on the streets. She was also pleased to see that he was teasing her. It was a nice change to the way everyone else treated her. People never really joked around, and all she wanted was just to be carefree. She smiled widely, "Vairy good." She laughed lightly, finding herself caught up in just being there with him. She simply nodded to the information she was given, hardly coming up with anything to say in response, merely because it was that much of a relief. Her breath caught when he touched her cheek gently. She had to remind herself that she really had no right to be disappointed when the fleeting moment was over. What was going on with her? She couldn't place the things she was feeling.
She frowned slightly, giving him a pointed look, "I will be fine. Like 'oo said...zere iz no way to tell 'oo from ze muggles...Zis is silly," she laughed, "'Ere we are, two people who 'oped to meet one anozer because of our freendship, and now all we can do iz talk about our worries. We should be 'appy! I am glad zat 'oo talked to me, zat 'oo saved me." She gave him a small smile. Gabrielle didn't want to have to say that they spent their entire first meeting talking about how risky it was for them to even speak to one another, or how worried they were that the other would be caught.
