Who: Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy (open to Demelza and Draco as well, of course!)
When: Last Saturday night (backdated!)
Where: A wizarding hospital in Madrid
What: Cissa's hurt, Bella's being a good sister and going to check on her. Mostly just to find out wtf happened.
Rating: Low, I'm guessing
Status: In progress
Bellatrix had just returned home from her little visit to Azkaban to torture the Longbottom boy and was in the midst of cleaning up when the owl from Demelza arrived. She read the letter twice, a frown crossing her face as she realised that the letter provided absolutely no information about her sister's condition. Bellatrix was clearly going to have to have a word with this slave and explain that news of a relative in the hospital should always include some sort of indication of their condition. Really 'your sister was attacked, will likely die soon' or 'your sister was attacked, she's fine but wants to see you' would be sufficient. Was that too much to ask for?
Of course as Bellatrix was musing to herself on the most proper way to share such information, the reality of the situation finally sunk in. Oh, she figured Cissa would be fine. She wasn't so heartless that she didn't care about her sister's condition but absent a warning of impending death... no, she was letting herself get distracted again. But the point was, someone had dared to attack her sister. And she had a fairly decent idea of just who would be so foolish to do such a thing. The fact that she was a monster Bellatrix had created was entirely lost on her as her annoyance at having her evening disrupted shifted into a full-blown rage.
She left Demelza's letter on the bed where Rodolphus would see it if he wondered where she was (unlikely, but she didn't want to hear him complain) and she stormed out of the house. A few minutes later and she was stalking through the hall of what was supposed to be the best wizarding hospital in Madrid. It had better be, for Demelza's sake. But good or not, nothing could change the fact that Bellatrix absolutely detested hospitals. They just made her think of weakness and frailty and all sorts of other thoughts that she loathed.
As she pushed her way past a junior healer who was going on about identification or something absurd, Bellatrix was mentally composing a 'to do' list so she did not have to spend any more time in this place than absolutely necessary. It was relatively simple. Find Narcissa. Ensure death is not impending. Confirm Hestia Jones's responsibility. Make Hestia pay. It was her own way of showing that she cared.
Unfortunately finding Narcissa was proving to be a bit of a challenge as she tried to navigate through the hospital and finally she was forced to resort to asking a healer for directions. After assuring the young man that yes, she was Narcissa's sister she finally managed to obtain directions and she burst into her sister's room. At the sight of Narcissa looking so damaged in the hospital bed, she stopped in her tracks, her expression softening for just a moment before she felt a fresh wave of anger. "Cissa... Who did this?" she demanded, crossing the room in a few quick strides and resting her hand on her sister's.
