Prompt/Summary: A meddling Headmaster, a missing snake, and a naked man in his bed ... this is the story of Severus Snape, Slytherin snake-charmer (say that five times fast!)
A/N: I wasn't able to use all of your kinks, but I managed to work in an Animagus, AU, romance, fluff, and masturbation, so I hope that you enjoy this, dingochow!

I really like this AU-- to go without Harry until after the fall of Voldemort, because of the snake in the zoo is an excellent conceit. You evoked the personality of a person who has spent 10 years as a snake rather beautifully, I thought, and your Snape is marvelously in character.

Pythios is a convincing magical snake. I don't recall many animagus stories where the animal form has access to so much of the wizard's magic-- I loved Pythios vanishing his cage when it suited him, and carrying his heat lamp around with him. And the scene where he helps Snape with the potion, holding the stirring rod with his tail, is wonderful. Perhaps it will inspire a fanartist out there?

I think I'd like to see more stories in this AU; it seems to be potentially a rather happy one and a good setting for all kinds of fluffy stories like this one. I'd love to see this world's Remus and all the potential for explosive family drama, with happy endings of course.

Bravo for Pythios, and for this sweet story!

That was so clever, lyv. Just the idea of Harry staying with the snake, really becoming one more than just physically, then the transition back to recognizing human form (eating with manners, getting dressed, etc). And of course Severus is perfect-sort of bipolar about it: cares for the snake and wants to detest Harry, failing spectacularly of course. Really original and so well done.

	Wonderful job! I loved that Harry hid as a snake for years and that Albus had an inkling of who teh snake was. He always seems to know! But it was truly amazing that Harry finally mamanged to get Severus to see into his heart and accept what he was feeling. Yay!!! (Reply to this)

Your ingenuous Harry is adorable; I love how he wraps himself around Severus as snake and as young man - he certainly knows what he wants, and that Severus wants it too (even if he won't admit it). I applaud your other changes to canon - Dumbledore etc still alive, Sirius and Remus lovers, no sign of Ginny - all in all, it reads like one of the more light-hearted stories written in the good old days before Book 7. Great fun, thanks!

	Excellent. I love Harry as Pythios. His interactions with Severus--sleeping in his bed, saving the potions class from explosion, touching Severus--really set the tone for their relationship when Harry regained his human form. (Reply to this)

This was adorable and inventive. I didn’t even feel sorry for Harry and his lost years because he was clearly enjoying being a snake and didn’t seem to regret anything. And even the laughs caused by his lack of manners/knowledge were mostly at the expense of other people, like in the hilarious wank-discussion. Poor Severus, I so enjoy seeing him tormented like this. I loved the cuddling too, the cosiness, the bed-shairing and sleeping together - almost innocently. :)
