I meant to say also, I loved how realistically you showed the complications caused by all these crossed wires in the relationship! James's suspicions of Lily, his fawning over Harry once *Harry* makes them settle the paternity issue, Harry's interest in Snape when he thinks he's his father, the horrible awkwardness when Snape puts his hand on Harry's thigh! OMGOMG. And of course Ron and everyone else having to *deal* with their relationship (or go green like Neville, lol!). You show all of this so believably, I think! Although everyone was rather creditably cool about it, with the exception of James.
And the fact that when James boils up to the castle to duel Snape, it's James who has blood running down his arm - YAYY Snape! I loved that Harry noticed this. That tells the whole story!
