Dear Klynie1: I think I got most of your prompt here. I didn't want to make Snape too old, so it's post-War, not post-Epilogue. I prefer to ignore the existence of the Epilogue anyway *buries head back in sand*. This story was written as a pinch hit and therefore in something of a hurry, so I do hope it cuts the mustard and hasn't fallen into the 'schmoopy' trap, which I might have skirted around at times.
