your severus is exactly the way i love - adore - him. - somehow mellowed, softer and as much in love with harry as harry with him.

of course he has a book shop!

Love. The odd look in Severus’ eyes was love.

oh that was so sweet. severus looked at him like this all the time but harry realized so late!

and:

After a moment he simply nodded his acceptance of Harry’s words, hoping that would be enough and Harry would just go—stay—leave him be—love him—let him die in peace—crawl into his arms and stay there forever—

this torrent of emotions is so like severus!

	Yay! I'm so glad Harry decided to speak to Ginny first and decide on a divorce before going to see Severus. He's so obviously thick throughout the story -- completely unable to identify his own emotions as well as Severus's -- that I almost felt bad for Severus. The ending totally made it all better, though. It was really sweet and wonderful. :) (Reply to this) (Thread)

Thank you! I really was trying to write a realistic/adult Harry. I know he was also a bit clueless about he and Severus, but I just had to think about what Harry, an adult and married with children, would do in this situation. So I'm glad that he did come across as adult!! Because I was trying very hard to make that the case. : )

Glad you enjoyed the ending!! They needed that happy ending, didn't they? : )

	I do so love post-DH fics like this-the way they get closer to each other, Severus sort of secretly pining. sigh Loved Harry's concern for him after the attack on the shop. Lovely, sweet ending. Nice job. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Beautiful story. I really like how you've managed to keep the epilogue, but layered more character development and growth than JKR could ever conceive. I also like the fact that Harry is human--he loves deeply, but the poor man is so unfamiliar with love that he doesn't recognize that he didn't have it with Ginny. Well done. 	I really enjoyed the well-written, amicable banter between Harry and Severus, especially their chess-related discussions. And it was quite delicious how Harry had these moments when he sort of almost understood what was happening to them, though I imagine Severus must have felt seriously frustrated long before the lovely couch-incident. g (Reply to this) (Thread)

This was great. I really liked their interaction. I was waiting for Harry to buy a clue and I loved the scene where he realises that Severus loves him. Also, I'm glad that he ended it properly with Ginny before acting on it, even though it probably was as much panicking as doing the right thing :-)
And I particularly liked the parallel between how Ginny and Severus see Harry, which show us (and Harry) quite nicely why Severus is the one Harry has to be with.

Thanks! I'm really glad that you liked it and that it seemed realistic to you. : ) And I'm glad that you liked Harry being honest with Ginny! I don't see the two of them as compatible at all, but it's not that Ginny's an awful person or anything. They're just not right for each other. And I think that if Harry respects her as a person and his wife of many years, he owes her that much. And of course Harry is overflowing with integrity. : )
