This was amusing, vividly told and very entertaining.
Poor Harry, overwhelmed by all those Princes. *g* My favourites were Eileen with her eye-hexing and protectiveness, Malcolm with his exuberance and awkward questions, and Mimsy with her warmth and her disappointment at the contents of the black box. Miriam was great too, practically forcing them to sleep together.
It was lovely to see how Harry’s thoughts evolved after he was told Severus was gay. Clearly, that was all the information he needed to start seeing Severus in a new light. Hmm, I got the feeling Severus was well aware of how his family would interpret their relationship and just waited (rather nervously) for Harry to catch on. This was such a wonderful line:
“Christ, Harry, would it be so terrible?” Severus barked, then immediately turned his attention to his shoelaces.
Severus’ frustration, impatience and nervousness couldn’t be expressed more beautifully. How he must have longed for Harry to notice him. Also, the love-making completely melted my heart with its combination of sweet & hot. Oh, and I loved the way the ending repeated the ‘folie’ from earlier and from the title, giving the story a romantic touch.
