Original poster: snarrymod
Your Name (lj and/or Penname): Lux (escapisms)
Your Team: Wartime
1. What made you decide to join the 2007 Snarry Games?
I'm not really sure, actually. I just sort of said, "Well, why not?" and asked which team needed more writers and voila! Here I am.
2. Which Harry Potter character is your favourite to write? To read? (any POV)
To write: I enjoy writing Harry a great deal. He's very versatile in that he can carry off angst, humor, romance, and crack. He also looks good on top or on the bottom. What more could I ask for, really?
To read: This depends entirely on what mood I'm in. As long as I can believe what's going on, I'll pretty much read anyone. I have a weakness for a well-done Neville, though :)
3.What brought Snarry to your attention? Was it a specific event/fic/picture?
Well there was this author I really, really liked who wrote this story in a completely other fandom and then I found out she wrote H/D and I was wary, but read it because it was her and then I saw this strange Snape/Harry pairing. And I thought, "Strange, but SHE wrote it so therefore, I must read it." And I did. Do I remember the specific story now? No, unfortunately, but it was by Aspen (surprise, surprise) and that led me to the original Walking the Plank and it was just smooth sailing from there.
4. What is your stance on "Quidditch-toned thighs"?
It makes me laugh. It makes me laugh and laugh and laugh. It also makes my Snape ridiculously surly because they're smooth and pretty and he wants to touch them all the time. Harry thinks this is flattering and vaguely cute (he does not tell Snape this).
5. Your own fanfiction (any fandom, any pairing): What do you think is your most underappreciated work? What do you think is your best work? Would you link them here for us?
Most under-appreciated? Hell, if it gets one piece of feedback I am all confetti and flying banners. So I really have no idea. And I figure if there is an under-appreciated fic than it's probably my own fault for not making the story more appealing. But perhaps Not Pretty Enough? That might have something to do with the fact it's Snape/Dumbledore and Snape/Narcissa.
Best work? The one I'm currently working on, actually. The one I've been working on since May of '05. It's still not done, but I'm pretty sure it's the best thing I've written. Best thing I've written that's been posted? Honestly, I have no idea. Here, you go read them and you decide.
6. In your opinion, will Severus Snape turn out to be 'Dumbledore's Man' in Book 7, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
I hope so. If he isn't, though, it will provide loads and loads of very good angst possibilities. Mmm, angst.
7. What do you think of podcasting, the newest fad in fandom? Would you like to hear one of your own stories, or one of your favourites voiced via .mp3?
I think it definitely has an appeal. I've listened to a few of my favorite stories voiced by their authors and it's extremely entertaining. To hear one of my own, however, might be completely nerve-wracking. I couldn't voice it myself, but if some capable person wanted to do it and I liked the sound of their voice, I'd like to hear it.
8. What pairing have you never written that you would love to try one day? (Any fandom)
Snape/Remus/Harry. It's one of the only threesomes I'll actually read and I think it might be fun to write them.
Also, John Sheppard/Rodney McKay
9. What's your favourite kink to read?
BDSM, hands down. Unless Hurt/Comfort counts as a kink.
10. How do you feel about participating in this year's Snarry Games?
I'm looking forward to it and hoping that I can come up with something good enough.
Thank you, escapisms!
