CLOSING CEREMONIES DRABBLES # 3, Raewhit!

Original poster: snarrymod

Our next future Champion has a large Snarry Library to back up her prowess here. But she missed out on the Lottery, and instead, gave us some drabbles to whet our appetites for the future Games. Enjoy!

Title: Closing Ceremonies [info]snarry_games Drabbles

Beta: [info]jadzialove Thanks once again for your advice and support.

A/N: I intended to do all 44 prompts, but have only succeed in finishing all 22 Romance prompts and 9 Angst prompts. My daughter, [info]turned_earth wisely pointed out, "You suck at angst, Mom," so I gave it up. A point of pride, though: each drabble is exactly 100 words.

Disclaimer: The Potter world and characters are the sole property of JK Rowling and her book and film companies. I make no money from writing fanfiction.

Romance Prompts

Prompt: Pensieve Memories

Severus gave him a look of horror. "Absolutely not. That's a preposterous idea."

"Why not, Severus? It'd just be from your memories of the two of us. It'll be fun—sort of like home movies. Come on."

"Fun," he repeated slowly. Then he smiled a little wickedly. "Like home movies?"

"Exactly. Like looking at photographs, only better."

~~~
Harry staggered backwards away from the Pensieve, wide-eyed as he leant against the table and gasped, "We never did that!"
"Hmmm," said Severus noncommittally, "actually, we did. The only thing in question is whether you were drunk or I Obliviated you afterward."
Prompt: Always Hungry
"How much longer?" Harry asked impatiently.
Severus slapped the hand away from the pan. "Eternity, if you don't find someplace else to stick your hands whilst I’m cooking."
He gasped as he felt his robe lifted from behind, and slippery fingers insinuate themselves between the cheeks of his ass.
"Just checking out the olive oil," Harry whispered at his ear.
"I thought you said you were hungry," Severus managed to stammer as his knees began to weaken.
"I am hungry, Severus. I’m always hungry," he murmured as he made a thrust with his fingers, "so dinner will have to wait."
Prompt: Nightmares
Severus tenderly brushed the damp hair from Harry's forehead. "Won't be much longer, love. Poppy says this is the worst part, pushing the baby down."
"S'okay, Sev…" Harry gasped, squeezing his hand. "It'll all be worth it—a baby with my looks and your intelligence—" he stopped and clutched at his rounded belly.
"Arrrrggghhhhhh!"
"Arrrrggghhhhhh!"
"Harry! Wake up! You're dreaming!"
Harry stared at him, wide-eyed, then gave a shaky laugh. "What a nightmare!"
"Voldemort?"
"Worse…dreamt I was pregnant…and you called me 'love'!"
Severus shuddered, shaking his head.
"God, I'm glad we're men," Harry sighed.
"Indeed," Severus murmured in agreement.
Prompt: Vertigo
He was on fire. He needed air, but strangely, his chest only sucked in insufficient puffs. His body felt almost numb, every nerve-ending on heightened alert. He moaned as the hands moved over him; he strained to push into them, forcing their surfaces closer: caressing, tracing, rubbing, sliding, grasping, pressing, parting, positioning. He shifted his hips and felt himself suddenly filled. He cried out as sensation slammed full force into the waiting wall of emotion: vulnerability, possession, knowledge, identity, comfort, completion. He sobbed out his climax as sensation and emotion fused in a dizzying vortex, leaving only himself…and Severus…as one.
Prompt: Correspondence
Dear Severus,
Christmas at the Weasleys' is the usual mayhem. Missing you has me wanking in the loo, but the twins found me out and have offered me their assistance. Not sure I'll accept, as I'm certain you'll overreact. I wonder if you're missing me as well? Probably not, miserable cur.
Harry
~~~

Dear Harry,

Christmas at Hogwarts is the usual boring affair. My rooms have become decidedly uninteresting in your absence. You may inform the twins Weasley that any body part they might use to assist you, I can curse from afar. When are you returning, irritating slacker?

Severus

Prompt: Dollhouse

"Utter rubbish," Severus complained as they left the theater.

"What? Ibsen?"

"No, Harry. Sugar Quills. Of course, Ibsen. I don't understand the appeal."

"It's a timeless theme, Severus. Something everyone can identify with."

Severus gave him a scathing look. "Which is?"

"Pining over someone you think is a hero, only to discover they have feet of clay."

"You've experienced this personally?"

"Nah, I hated a bastard, who turned out to be the love of my life."

"Flattery will get you nowhere, Harry."

"I was hoping at least for your cock up my ass, Severus."

"You'll have that in any case."

Prompt: Things Left Unsaid

"I first thought you were attractive about the time we started Occlumency lessons," Harry admitted.

I thought you beautiful from the first moment I saw you.

"Your voice always mesmerized me. God, just hearing it now makes me hard."

I was always able to pick yours out from the hundreds in the Great Hall.

"Your eyes always seemed to be watching me. I used to think them cold… now there's only warmth."

Yours have always been there…green plaguing my days…emerald haunting my dreams.

"Severus, do you remember when you first noticed me? I mean…like that?"

"Hmmm, not precisely," Severus lied.

Prompt: Proving His Independence

"You what?"

"Quit the Auror corps," Harry told him candidly.

"Just what do you propose to do with yourself now?"

"Be your assistant. You've been complaining you need one."

"What makes you think—" he stopped when Harry slammed the key on the desk. "What's this?"

"Your key to our joint vault. It's done, so deal with it," Harry challenged.

"Why would you do this? For the first time, you're free to do what you want, with the resources to do it."

"That's exactly what I've done." His eyes glittered. "Sometimes committing yourself is the only way to be free."

Prompt: Benediction

They hadn’t cared when Harry's friends had been scandalized.

They hadn't cared when Molly Weasley had sent the first of several Howlers.

They hadn't cared when the Order members had signaled their quiet disapproval with guarded stares.

They hadn't cared when Remus Lupin had made his desperate plea.

They hadn't cared when the Prophet had seen fit to malign Harry's sanity and Severus' motives.

But when they joined their hands at the moment of bonding, and the ethereal, sweet phoenix song filled the hall, they smiled at this blessing from someone who'd sacrificed himself, and cared to the very end.

Prompt: Sleep Deprivation

"I can't understand why you insist that I go with you," Harry mumbled as they walked back to their rooms.

"Because I'm miserable and I love company, especially yours," Severus told him at the door.

"I'm exhausted. You're either getting me up to patrol with you, or—" he stopped as Severus found his mouth, at the same time pushing them in the direction of the bedroom.

Spread-eagled on the bed, Harry moaned as Severus' tongue explored downwards.

"Any objection to my getting it up for you, Harry?"

"Gods, no. What a difference a little word makes," Harry gasped appreciatively.

Prompt: Masquerade

"For the tenth time, he's not a vampire!"

Severus straightened his mask, which did nothing to hide the sneer. "Really, Harry, with a name like Batman, how could he not be? You yourself admitted the man lives in a cave."

Harry sighed in exasperation as he hiked up his green tights. "I'm not explaining this again, Severus. He's a superhero, and I'm your loyal sidekick. Batman and Robin are the Dynamic Duo." He added slyly, "With great action on the side."

Severus pursed his lips. "And this Batman always tops, Dick?"

Harry grinned as he fingered Batman's logo. "Always, Bruce.”

Prompt: Courage

It's easy to be a hero. Just do something rash and reckless, impulsive and ill-planned, and the world will love you for it…if it turns out well.

Being an everyday hero is not as easy. Not when it means facing the same difficult choice day after day, and forging on, because you know it's the right one.

"If we love each other, why is this so bloody difficult?" Harry demanded in frustration.

"Because you're irritating and I'm impossible!" Severus snapped

"Don't push me away," Harry pleaded softly.

"Don't let me, then," Severus replied as he folded him into his arms.

Prompt: Déjà vu

"This is the part where you tell me I'm out of my mind," Harry said as he stalked closer.

Severus scowled and stepped behind the desk. "I'm impressed you were paying attention."

"This is the part where you remind me you're old enough to be my father," he said, trapping Severus between the chair and the wall.

"I am," Severus growled as the man grabbed him by the front of his robes.

"This is the part where you scream at me to leave." His face was inches away.

"Not this time," Severus murmured, then silenced the mouth with his own.

Prompt: A Test of Wills

"'Like and angel with wild eye

Back into your bedroom I…."'

Severus lowered the book and gave him a dark look. "Stop that, Harry," he warned, pushing the hand away from his crotch.

"'Will slip each night without a sound…."'

The hand was back, and his fly undone. "Harry," he complained, a little less stridently.

"'Just as darkness comes to ground."'

He tried to restrain the gasp when the warm hand gave him a firm, gentle squeeze.

"'And gypsy, you will feel my kiss…"' he paused.

"Fuck the bloody poem!" He threw the book aside.

"It took you long enough.”

A/N: Excerpt from "The Revenant" by Charles Baudelaire

Prompt: Labyrinth

"It's a conundrum," Harry admitted as he unbuckled his belt.

"Most assuredly," Severus agreed as he undid his own.

"Just the sight of you makes me irritable." Harry stepped out of his trousers and pulled his shirt over his head.

"You bring out the worst in me." Severus kicked their clothing aside.

"We're like oil and water, you know," Harry whispered as he pressed up against him.

Severus groaned and buried his face in Harry's hair. "We're all burrs and prickles."

"Us together makes no sense at all." Harry traced Severus' ear with his tongue.

"It's a conundrum," Severus gasped.

Prompt: Sacrifice

Harry gaped at him. "They offered you the Defense position and you turned it down? Why?" he asked.

Severus avoided his eyes as he began to unbutton his robe. "I decided to return to the Potions post."

Harry's hands stopped his suddenly, forcing Severus to look at him. 'You've wanted this for years, Severus. What were you thinking?"

Severus covered Harry's hands with his own. "That you'd take the Defense position. They certainly wouldn't offer you Potions," he scoffed.

Harry's eyes widened. "So, we'll be teaching together? I can't believe you'd do that for me."

"I didn't," Severus told him.

Prompt: Seven-Year Itch

Harry smiled, shaking his head. "Why would you think that?"

Severus shrugged, uncomfortable. "I was your first. It's been seven years, and," he let out a sigh, "perhaps you regret your lack of experience with other…partners."

Harry sobered, but his eyes remained soft and warm. "Oh, I see." He paused. "You expect I might have this seven-year itch thing?"

Severus scowled. "It would be natural to wonder…."

"Oh, I do wonder, Severus." This earned him a sharp look. "I even get the itch sometimes." He pulled Severus close and murmured, "But you're the only one I want to scratch it."

Prompt: Superstition

Remus greeted them formally. "I offer my heartfelt congratulations on your binding. Live long. Love well." He held an object up in front of them. "Would either of you care to purchase a candle?"

Severus raised an eyebrow while Harry gave him a quizzical look. To Harry's amazement, Severus held out a Galleon to the man.

~~~
Harry moaned as Severus pushed into him. "So, you being the first to buy something for us makes you dominant?
"That's the legend," Severus murmured.
"Like we need a legend to know that," Harry sighed as Severus pinned his arms above his head.
Prompt: Scruples
Severus rolled away. "Not tonight, Harry," he said firmly.
Harry sidled closer to press against him. "Why not, Severus? We've been giving each other blowjobs for days. Don't you want to fuck me?"
"Oh, I do, Harry," he told him. "But you're intoxicated, and I want you with all your faculties intact."
"But—"
"You won't deny that you're drunk as a lord?"
"I won't!" Harry protested indignantly.
Severus gave him a smirk of triumph.
Confused, Harry rebutted, "Hey, wait! That was a trick question!" He frowned. "Don't you have Hangover Potion?"
Severus muttered, relieved, "I thought you'd never ask."
Prompt: Ancestry
They lay sweaty and sated on their sides, fingering each other's hair.
"Severus?"
"Hmmm?"
"Do you think my parents would be disappointed?"
"Harry," he warned.
"And yours as well?"
"What?"
"That the Snape and Potter lines will die out with us?"
"Oh, I see." He thought for a moment. "We might've died in that war, Harry. So, I think it's a moot question."
"But we didn't die, Severus." He waited.
Severus smiled. "But we're both on a Frog card instead."
Harry smiled then. "Ha. Severus and Harry the Infamous Poufs."
"Surely that must count for something, Harry."
"Yeah, you're right."
Prompt: Last Dance
Severus stood discreetly in a corner and waited as they all took a turn with the Boy-Who-Lived. He watched as they twirled their happy savior round the dance floor, and bided his time.
Hearing the strains of "Tales from the Vienna Woods," he pushed through the crowd to claim his prize. "Last dance, Mister Potter," he murmured as he pulled Harry close, swirling his cloak around them just before they Disapparated away.
Harry wound his arms around his waist. "Don't you want a dance, Severus?"
"Hmmm, only the horizontal one, Harry," he confided as he pulled him to the floor.
Prompt: Posthumous Request
Harry held it out. "This is yours."
"My old Potions book," Severus murmured. He opened to a random page, surprised when two parchments fell out. He held one out to Harry. "Addressed to you and me," he said, perplexed. "In Albus' handwriting."
They eyed each other, then unfolded them to read. Once finished, they exchanged them without a word.
"They're identical," Harry confirmed. "Except for the greetings."
Severus went for the drinks. "Sherry," he said in disgust as they toasted the headmaster, then hurled their glasses into the fireplace.
"Now the second part, Severus." Harry smiled. "Your room or mine?"
Angst Prompts
Prompt: Seven Year Itch
"So, you admit that you've thought of this, then?" Severus smoldered.
Harry looked away, and Severus knew the answer to his question by the crimson flush creeping up the man's neck
"Yeah, all right, I have. I won't lie." He looked back, his eyes challenging.
Severus felt his heart thud, suddenly realizing that he'd been waiting for this shoe to drop for a while. "Have you considered that a change might be the answer?"
Harry shook his head. "No, it wouldn't."
Severus felt his heart thump again.
"Why not?" he risked hopefully
"He wouldn't be you," Harry softly told him.
Prompt: Sleep Deprivation
We work by night, and sleep only by day. Even then, we do it in shifts. I don't trust him enough to sleep when it's my turn, though.
It's agony feigning sleep, when I so desperately need to do so, but I'm not sure about him yet.
Funny…when its' my turn, I have no trouble staying awake.
I've memorized his hands, the curve of his hips, the lines of his face, and oh god, his lips. I wonder what he would feel like…taste like…. I despise him for doing this to me. Hating him felt so much better…so much safer.
Prompt: Courage
"Hogwarts: A History" will most likely make mention of those two stunning and selfless acts of bravery: that Severus Snape had struck down Albus Dumbledore for the greater good, and that Harry Potter had finally dispatched Lord Voldemort.
But the greatest testimony to their courage will be missing from those pages, as only they were witness to it.
It began with two words.
"Severus." A body turned.
"Harry." A step forward.
A couplet of apologies.
"I was wrong."
"As was I."
Two confessions of quiet desperation.
"I've wanted you for a long time."
"I know. Come here, you irritating boy."
Prompt: Always Hungry
I've always been a man of moderation, and have looked down my rather large nose at the one given to excess. It seems, however, that the mighty have fallen.
"I'll be here on the weekends," he offers.
I scowl as I snort.
"I'll have a day off during the week," he mulls out loud.
I cross my arms and sulk.
"I suppose I could Floo in for the evenings," he counters.
My lips are a thin line.
"I could spend my nights here." He finally gives in.
I give him a curt nod. "Not nearly enough, Harry, but it'll have to do."
Prompt: Masquerade
I'm kneeling between his legs; he watches as I fist the lube around my cock.
"Why are we always face to face when you top?" he asks, frowning.
I shrug as I find the spot and slowly push into him. "So I can see you. It's the only time I really do," I tell him as I lean in and start to move.
"Don't understand," he mumbles, our faces inches apart.
"Your eyes go blank, your mouth relaxes, your cheeks flush, and you bite your tongue. Total abandon, Severus. The only time I see it."
He stiffens.
"Like now, Severus."
Prompt: Dollhouse
"I thought you'd changed!" he accuses.
The more desperate his voice, the more dispassionate mine becomes.
"You were mistaken on that account."
"You were different," he protests as he runs a shaky hand through his hair.
The more tremulous those hands, the steadier mine become.
"A misconception on your part," I tell him snidely.
"I thought you loved me."
The slight crack in my veneer remains my secret.
"Have you ever heard me say it?"
The more dejected his face, the more impassive mine becomes.
"You're a bastard," he tells me quietly as he leaves.
"Ah. You've finally caught on."
Prompt: Labyrinth
"You've asked too much of me," Harry said bitterly.
Severus' eyes glittered as he listened.
"You hated my parents; they'd despise me if they knew."
The black eyes dilated slightly.
"You hated Sirius; he'd kill you if he were alive."
The eyes stared, as unreadable as ever.
"You hated me long before you killed Albus."
Something flashed in the eyes, then was gone in an instant.
"And now," Harry looked away, "you've taken the only thing I had left that was mine alone to hate."
"What, Harry? I've asked you for nothing." But his voice betrayed the lie.
"Myself, Severus."
Prompt: Things Left Unsaid
I wonder what goes on in that head of yours when you look at me like that. Are you asking yourself what I might have told the Dark Lord about that cursed Prophecy?
When we lie together, sated and sleepy, and you trace my Mark with your fingertips, aren't you curious about how easily I betrayed him? Do you ponder over what made me trade loyalties like a second skin?
Do you have flashbacks of that night on the Tower, of that chase through the night?
Do you never hear the echo of your voice crying out, "Coward?"
I do…wonder.
Prompt: Proving His Independence
"You'll do what you like, regardless of what I say," Harry told him as he slung his pack over his shoulder, then stopped to consider him. "So this year, I've decided not to even try."
Severus waved at him dismissively. "It's just another day, so far as I'm concerned. Spend it with your friends, if you prefer to do so."
"What I'd prefer, Severus, is for you to swallow your pride and act like an adult. Christmas day is the only time I've ever asked you for."
Severus looked away. "They've never forgiven me."
"No, Severus, you've never forgiven yourself."
