Now *that* is worth all the last minute madness of getting it finally posted! And it's such a great finale, too.
I cried more than I have in long, long time over a fandom story, and I laughed out loud in enough places to not turn it into a snot-fest. I loved the complexity of the plot, the brilliant and totally believable characterisations, the atmosphere in the world you created. I liked how you so truthfully conveyed that there are no full happy endings in a war, and no true winners, either. I must say I am awed by the amount of research you seem to have done, and the sheer number of socio-political realities you manage to discuss. It's exhilarating. But more so is the sense of equality between Harry and Severus, something that is not so easy to find lately, the realistic depiction of their relationship. The relationship between them and the boys. Between Severus and Draco. Astoria. It was so bitter-sweetly true to real life and the multi-dimensional world that is the human life and personality. I loved most of all how Jamie reacted the the London news just as Severus did.
I am still on edge and prickling with quotes and impressions and it's three in the morning and all I want to do is read it again and just get that tightening in my throat all over again. You might have just overdone yourself this time. ♥
