"What's the matter, Snivellus? Afraid the Hat made a mistake?" "About you, Black? Yes, I think it has,"
Heee.. of course there can be enemies even within the same house...
Lupin and Snape, along with Lily Evans formed their own tight-knit trio, reminiscent of another Gryffindor trio yet to come.
Reminiscent I suppose, although I shudder to think which is Ron and which Harry!
Mr. Pettigrew, thanks to your quick action, was not harmed in the incident, and has agreed to keep Mr. Lupin's secret
O.o Wow, what a change-up.
"Accomplishments aside, I don't believe I've come so far that anyone would dare assign the appellation 'happy' to me, however."
*snickers*
"Thank you, Albus. You've always been a good boy." He smiled sadly. "That is debatable."
hee hee! *stifles laughter*
The smile was no longer tentative, and watching, Severus drew in a sharp, astonished breath to see it aimed at him, to see them share in this thing, their mutual dislike for Lily's sister.
*glee* Oh, I like this possible timeline.
Narrowing his eyes, Severus said grudgingly, "I do not owe you an accounting of my sordid past."
And I love how this is still IC even though they apparently have a respectful, even friendly relationship here. (I find interesting the implication that the best change happens not when Severus is sorted into Gryffindor or makes it up with Lily, but when he changes his initial attitude about Harry.)
"I can't do that—I'm not a robot!"
"No, you are something much worse: a teenager.
LOL!
"I've always been disappointed that you couldn't get closer to him, that you failed to win his trust—a missed opportunity, or so I thought.
Ooh, now that's an interesting idea. Fandom generally assumes that besides his natural hatred, Severus would have wanted to maintain it because that's what Voldemort would expect... this is a neat twist.
ha ha, well, shit, this one doesn't end well either. Every time I think this is it, this is the good on, the remainder of the scroll bar has to go on without a break... I suppose I should have been counting doors!
Albus nodded. "In a sense, though I had hoped Voldemort wouldn't go to that extreme. But however regrettable, it was entirely necessary." "Oh, well I feel so much better, then," Severus said snidely.
Hrmph! No doubt echoing many a fan's feelings on the setup with the wand.
Severus had a feeling that he himself was the careful gardener.
Yes... I could quite see this.
Everything he discovered screamed 'comfortable' and 'contented'.
Sure, but are you going to pull the rug out again? I can't trust you after all the preceding part of this fic! :P
very nearly smiling in return with the knowledge of what lay ahead for them.
Phew, I would have had to smack you!
Well, as you can see, you thoroughly engaged me with this fic at every turn. Well done!
