I think that the things that jumped out for me the most were the pod and that you dealt with the aftermath of the curse. The pod, because it's the coolest thing ever, seriously. I loved what you did with it. The aftermath to the curse -- I have no idea why I noticed it as much as I did. I think that maybe it's a very unusual thing in fiction, to read about what happens After. The curse itself is very interesting; I was sort of sad not to see it expanded further, but I can't argue with the choice -- it made the fic.
Wizarding customs were awesome as well. I was just as confused as Harry over Ginny's 'abandonment' of her own daughter, and wondered just why. It doesn't make sense! I also hope she'll want to at least interact with Jane, some day.
I also loved that Snape was the one who noticed something was wrong, and that he didn't call for expelling Harry the moment the option presented itself. I feel that the fact he didn't much care for Harry allowed him to be able to sort it out. I also liked the way you presented how he gradually comes to like Harry, and Harry liking him.
One thing I did miss here, though, was Hermione's voice. Her voice as a Muggleborn who read up the customs was loud in its silence. I was also a bit confused over why Ron didn't blame Hermione for sleeping with Harry, seeing as how she was in her right mind. But really, these points are pretty minor, and didn't reduce my enjoyment of the fic, overall.
Good job, here. If you ever write a sequel, let me know, 'k? I'd be ecstatic to read it.
