This is a very lovely picture. I love the look shared between the two.

I love the colouring on this art and the interaction between Harry and Severus and especially the way Severus turns his back on Harry in the last sequence, like hes just given up

*sigh*
It's always amazing to me how stubborn these two can be.
I can't imagine how difficult this was, watercolor is not the easiest medium.
Snape's hair is great, as is Harry's crouched figure.
And that close up... *weeps*
Beautifully rendered. :)

I just want you to know that you have saved lives with this post today. Seriously. I was in a MAJORLY FOUL MOOD and then I saw this and immediately my day became 1000% better. So, thank you.

Your art is lovely. I adore this section of OotP (who doesn't?) and seriously, I really really really love how you've shown them. Snape is so foul and Harry so desperate and it is just awesome.

I love watercolors, and this is just divine. They can be difficult, and you've achieved so much with this work! Bravo. Excellent piece.

When a watercolour is done well - and yours certainly is - I much prefer it to digital art, good though that can be. It just seems more real, somehow. Lovely work!

This is really lovely. Great colors and style- I can see all of the books being illustrated with this same palette. Harry's figure in the first, and snape's figure in the last (esp w/ his shadow on the wall) are particularly well rendered, imho. Beautiful!

I really appreciate that this was all done in watercolor in one piece. So difficult, with so much detail and so much emotion conveyed. Harry slumped on the floor, and then turned from each other speaks volumes.

Great colors. I love your Snape in the last picture. He seems so sad.
It's very good. Thank you.

Watercolors...wow. I CANNOT use that medium. So when somebody like yourself renders colors and emotions like this so beautifully it really is quite amazing to me.

Beautiful piece of art. :)

Ooh, the colors!!
Harry on the floor is very intense somehow.
And Snape is so defeated, but he doesn't really show it.
Thanks a lot!

Beautiful. I love the look between the two of them - it was so charged with emotion. They both look so defeated in the last panel. I just want to hug them. Wonderful job!

Watercolours? My hat's off to you; your layering is divine, and your middle panel is exquisite, although their dejection in the last panel makes me want to cry.

I think the reason I disliked JKR's style so much is that she's a bit lazy with how she controlled her scenes. Frequently, she just laid 'it' out there and expected the reader to interpret what they will out of it. What I mean is her 'words' made us rely on an iffy subtext to discern the power of any scene. For fanfiction, that may be all right, but for mainstream, that's almost criminal.

This scene is one of those that could have been so much better, imho, and I'm so glad you chose to illustrate it because the scene, as she wrote it, was hopelessly flat. What I find truly ironic is that if she had just included those two sentences you have in your author notes, then this illustration would never have been necessary.

Very nicely done!

*points up* I echo what IGToW wrote. You have fleshed out the scene from the book well, adding the emphasis on the pride and prejudice of both characters (although Severus *sighs* gets the Gold Medal on the latter count).

For the art itself... Well, I confess to being a sucker for anyone who has the confidence and the raw talent to use traditional mediums, and you certainly have both in spades. Well done!

I admire anyone who can get watercolor to 'sing' for them. It's a medium I'm enamored with but afraid to try.... beautifully done!!

What a fabulous scene for your prompts! Pride and prejudice, indeed! Ditto what others have said about watercolor--I'm an art teacher, and I know how my students struggle with it. Your technique is wonderful here, and the medium fits the mood of the scene quite well. I especially love Harry crumpled up in the top scene, and Severus' turned away in the last scene. Well done!

Lovely pale watercolors. I love it when the background is sweet and suggested, it permits to the strong lines of the characters to make them stand out. You choose bright colors for a very dark moment, kuddo!!
It's beautiful.
