God, I want to grab and shake them both! But yes, I could totally see things happening this way! Exactly this way. I found it very IC for both of them. This was a dark, painful story with a grim reality feeling throughout and I loved all of that. I also loved how you mixed canon with this AU world. I enjoyed this a lot. Yay, angst! :-)
