I really felt like I was reading something from the late 19th century rather than something written today, and for that I most heartily congratulate you. *blush* Funny, that guy I married read it before I sent it to the mods, and he said "Wow. It doesn't even sound like you." heh. I have to admit that immersing my self in the period and language was the right way to go for this fic. Moreover, I'm relieved that it was visual enough without losing the reader in too many details or making do too much work. That was a fear when I started.
