I paced the story tightly, which makes it harder to follow the plot because everything's moving so quickly. In a nutshell: all three of them (Harry, Newlin and Davies) are tied together by Harry's autobiography. Davies wants it to gain power by finding the Elder Wand, Harry wants it to make a political statement and Newlin wants to use it to get Snape's actions in the war recognized. Since Davies dies in the end, there's really no need to publish the autobiography, so my guess is that it's dropped, leaving nobody with what they want. The Elder Wand is more a symbol of how power corrupts than anything else. That's about it. *g* Hope that helps!
