This was definitely different. I never expected to see poor Severus cloned. *shudders* Thankfully, you didn’t show the actual creepy bits. On the other hand, I loved the idea of his soul being stored in the Pensieve amongst the shinier memories. My favourite was Harry’s detention and them watching it. I’m glad Harry was mature about the whole thing.
There was something mythical in the way they had to collect the scattered soul and in how it was the mother who revived her son. Eileen was wonderful, so determined and forthright. And she made Severus blush! I enjoyed the “go to your rooms” exchange a lot. I wonder what exactly happened between Harry and Ginny, though. This was very intriguing:
"You're now clinically obsessed and have been scorned by your wife. Congratulations." "Thank you." Harry grinned. "And I believe Doctor Ginny had prescribed me medication in the form of a hooked nose, black haired wizard. You've been given more than snogging privileges, Severus." "Witness my rejoicing," Snape said dryly. "I am." Two seconds passed before understanding dawned in Snape's eyes and he realised that their banter had turned completely solemn. Harry had, in effect, offered himself to Snape with a certain Mrs. Potter's blessing.
