This was hilarious but thoughtful at times too. My favorite lines:
"Tell him what?" Ron was staring at her. "He doesn't have to die again, does he?" I love the tone of this, as if dying is an awful thing to have to go through but not, you know, the actual end of his life. More like a step to a goal.
"Why is it like nargles? Do you have to have sex under mistletoe?" Ron asked.
"Nargles are real?" Harry's voice went up on the last word.
Oh Harry. So clueless about the magic *and* sexual worlds.
And speaking of which, I love how Snape's urgency comes through the filter of Harry's utter ignorance. The tone of that part was lovely. Even that sort of fake kissing gave him an erection. Ha!
"I mean, does anyone normal really--" They were all quite red now. "I've been busy," Harry said. "I had a lot on my mind." Aww.
But my favorite line was a serious, pensive one. Why had he known them, the jealous, bitter ones, and not her, the one who wanted only to make things bloom? Perfectly wistful and appropriate.
