How wonderful! This story was truly a great read--a compelling "puzzle," that hooked the reader from the start, and carried through to the end. I enjoyed the fact that you didn't give all the answers at once, but let the story unfold on its own. And the raven becoming Blaise at the end--I hope I wasn't the only one that was delightfully surprised by that! Very well done.
I noticed a comment further up from a reader who did not think this was "Snarry." I couldn't disagree more. To me, a Snarry fic tells the story of Harry and Severus' connection to each other, which begins in the past (with Lily) and continues through to Snape's death in canon, and of course, beyond that point in fanon. The fact that Snape reaches out to Harry in particular, and Harry responds so readily, indicates something between them beyond mere ex-student/professor. Snape's need to see Harry, to be sure of his happiness, and his additional sacrifice to ensure Harry's happiness (or chance of it), and Harry's responses to him, are completely "Snarry" as far as I'm concerned. Even the addition of Blaise seems not to diminish the connection, but enhance it in some way. As if, by both of them loving Blaise, they are sharing in a way they could not do directly. And Mei-Ping being sent to Al--perfect. Excellent take on the post-epilogue nonsense, by the way.
Sorry for the freakishly long rant, but I did really love the story. This is one I will definitely be reading again.
