Oh, this is *lovely*! I think you have so completely captured Harry, and his fundamental desire to *just fit in*, to have a normal life, with a wife and a family and the job everyone expects him to have, even if it doesn't really make him happy. I liked the crossword-puzzle clues, and Harry's painfully uptight (but very efficient) secretary and his over-protective boss, and children and their disparate Sortings.
I *loved* Mei-Ping, and especially the note that accompanied her to her new companion (because we must not, of course, speak of Dragons as having owners), and Harry's visit to Cathay and his interactions with Severus and Blaise and his conversation with the portrait and the wonderful (nay, damn near perfect) ending. And the aura-cleansing/surrogate sex was both hot and moving (emotionally, I mean :).)
