In 2007, the Summer Art Games Champions from the year prior graced us with a hilarious collection of Opening Games Crack!Art to keep us occupied during our wait for the Winter Author Games posting to begin.
This year, we invite both the previous Champions as well as any artist who wishes to try their hand at Snarry Crack!Art.
Please choose three of a combination of the prompts and genres, either one prompt and two genres, OR one genre and two prompts to represent in your art.
2. C&P this header:
(C&P):
3. Once completed, send your art (or a private link to it), along with the above header, to snarry[dot]mod[at]gmail[dot]com, and we will let you know we've received it.
Final due date for Crack art is March 25, 2008. We will begin posting the Crack!Art as soon as it begins arriving, in between the Champion Interviews, and right up to start of Games.
FAQs
1. What the heck is 'Crack!Art, anyways?
Heh.
"Crack" is generally defined as: Fan work that seems to have been done while the author/artist was on 'crack' . Basically, it's a concept that is deliberately so far out there that you may wonder what 'chemical' the originator of such work was on at the time to have come up with it.
2. Can I do more than one 'set' of prompts/genres?
Sure! Make sure to do a separate header for each, though - we will post only one set at a time.
3. What 'criteria' do you look for?
Severus Snape and Harry Potter must be represented.
We do not accept art that features "chan", as stated in the rules. For the purposes of the Snarry Games, we define 'chan' as: Explicitly depicting anyone under the age of 18 (eighteen) years in 'sexual' situations.
We will also NOT accept art that uses any Trademarked Warner Brothers images being manipulated. Exception to this rule are FANVIDS, but only if using the UNALTERED film footage of the Harry Potter movies. No illegal content, which includes any licensed pornography.
Important note: We accept ratings from G right up to NC17 (*R to NC17 art will be F-LOCKED).
The mods reserve the right to refuse any piece deemed too inflammatory.
4. What size do you want the art? Can I do panels/multiple frames?
We accept comics/multiple frames. We prefer the art to be sized appropriately for insanejournal/livejournal, which usually translates to 800 x 600 pixels max per single panel, and/or less than 350kb (for dial up users). If you cannot resize it without losing quality, we will do our best to thumbnail it or post with size warnings.
That should cover it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, or send them directly to the mods at snarry[dot]mod[at]gmail[dot]com
