TEAM ROMANCE ENTRY - Orionnoire!
Title: Silent Offer
Artist: [info]orionnoire
Team: Romance
Genre(s): Postwar & AU
Rating/Warnings/Kinks: G

Harry bent over him; and rapidly tore pieces of his t-shirt to staunch the bloody wound."(Bloomsbury 528) After the battle, an exhausted Harry goes back to the Shack. Snape is still asleep. Surely, a little nap can’t hurt anything…

Harry's profile is beautifully understated in this. And there's no mistaking the decor for any other location but the Shack... ;-)

Thank you! When I drew the initial sketch, Harry just placed himself so naturally for once. I'm glad you liked it, too!

I had fun destroying the decor. It's my excuse for everything being uneven. *g*

Thank you, though I won't tell the boys you said that. They would be so embarrassed to know someone had seen them that way. ;)

Just looking at this makes smile. I love the hand holding and the sense of peace this picture has. And how Snape looks at Harry but Harry looks at the floor. The soft colouring is really beautiful. :-)

Thanks so much! I tried with the colors to make it look peaceful and intimate. I'm really glad it worked!

The boys are so stubborn. Snape wouldn't look t Harry if Harry looked back, and vice versa.

Wow, I love this illustrationy look! It's like a piece of art from the Impressionist era that someone found sketched/watercoloured on a scrap of paper. It's so deliciously worked out through such subtle use of colour and line. Love it!

Oh, thanks so much for the lovely comment! 8D I've been experimenting a lot with watercolors, but I'm not always sure the style I want is really coming through.

This is so lovely and peaceful.

I'm noticing that under media it says sharpie. Dude I have never achieved anything remotely artistic with a sharpie in hand! The fact that you did so totally rocks!

Thank you!

Sharpies are such a pain! It only works the way I want one time out of ten. I'm happy to know it worked this time! :D

Heeee! Thanks hun! *smooches* I'm so glad you like it. I still think Snape's face was destroyed when I added sharpie, but overall I'm very happy with the result! /end babbling SRLY, must learn how to take compliments.

Erm, thanks. ♥

Oooh, sneaky! I caught that edited quote! Or is it? Can it be possible you got the REAL DH book? ;) lol

Anyway, this artwork is lovely. The hand holding speaks volumes, and Harry's pose is wonderful. I love the curve of his back. :)

*nods* I received the adult slashy version of the book by mistake; the one JKR keeps under her bed. ;)

Thank you! Harry was so much fun to draw and paint because he's much more physically expressive here. Snape holds on to his cool so tightly even when no one is looking.

Very Victorian. I love the artwork and the hand-holding is understated enough that it fits with their characters.

Thank you! I'm glad to know you think it works. In the little story in my head, Snape had been asleep when Harry grabbed his hand. When Snape woke, they pretended nothing was going on. It's one of the only way I can see them touching each other at this point. :)

I love the water colors- you did an amazing job keeping them under control! Harry's jaw line kills me completely, and the flowing lines of his shirt, the blankets, bits of the background, etc are beautiful.
