Team: Romance

MOD NOTE: Dial up users, beware! Large image under the cut.

Something shines briefly in Potter's half-starved face, something hot as naked flame, as deep as honey. I could love you, Snape thinks to himself, feeling the words as if they were chiselled into his very bones, I could love you.--Night Watch

August, by Adbaculum

Mod note: POLLS ARE NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE SNARRY GAMES.

IMPORTANT: If you rec this picture, link this POST only, or the artist will not get their proper vote tally - thank you! As the picture locations will often be amended due to archiving, it is best to link to the post only to prevent a future dead link.

Snape's deer-in-the-headlights look is precious! I also really like the leaves flitting in front of the moon, they somehow add to the atmosphere.

Oh, fabulous, this was one of my favourite stories from the writing Games! All the different layered leaves on the tree add up to quite a nice effect :).

You've captured the joy and romance of Harry seeing the sky after so long and then looking back to share it with Snape. This picture makes you want to smile back, well done!

Snape's expression is priceless and I love Harry's smile and his bum, of course. ;) I don't believe I've read the story it's based on, so, I'm off to read now! :D

Fantastic job, and I must compliment you on a great choice of fic. [info]mia_ugly is one of my favorite authors, and I'm obsessed with Night Watch.

On a side note: I love the tree and the moon. They look like a movie somehow -- just paused.

There are a lot of details I like in this picture. Most notably are the leaves, stars, and the windswept look of everything and everyone in the picture. Harry's bare feet are charming.

Oh, this reminded me of Mia's fic all over again. Excellent choice of fic, and a nice job at the illustration (which is great on its own merits too).
