Artist's Notes: Late submission because I am a dork who confused the dates of several different things. Major thanks and apologies to the mods! Yes, Snape is dead. I had originally planned on making him much more ghosty-looking... but when I tried it, you just couldn't see him at all. So he looks all nice and solid here. The quote is from a Lois McMaster Bujold book, I believe.

	I suck at backgrounds honestly. And I figured the texture of Harry's clothes were busy enough for what little line work there was. I also placed it on the canvas that way so it could make an appropriate wallpaper should anyone feel inclined. :) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	I have to admit when I looked at the preview I wasn't sure I was going to like this. Instead when I looked I LOVED it. The words are just perfect, and the stance and expressions of both Snape and Harry are wonderful. Great job. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Yeah, I realized after I made the preview that it made the lines look really thick... like I'd used a big ol' sharpie to make them. Not my usual way... but somewhere in all my photoshop layers, that happened. Glad the full image surprised you then! ;) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Yeah, I know Lens Flare is sorta the easy way out. But I was in a hurry for the mods' sake. I've been working on how to highlight hair nicely and I think I may have finally arrived at the style I like. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Oh, I just meant the way it *looked* like a lens flare, and how it filled in dark space n'stuff, not at all trying to poke you for using a perfectly legitimate effect! I thought you might've drawn it, but there's certainly nothing wrong with using the stuff an application gives you. I may be a little addicted to the texture options myself ;). And yes, the hair really is lovely. I've not yet figured out how to highlight non-strandy-hair; mine always looks a blocky mess.

	Ah-ha! Now I know why Harry looks so young! Snape's a full head taller than him! ;) Not that that couldn't be true, but I think that's what's making Harry look younger than he is. Snape is a marshmallow at heart... at least for Harry. (Reply to this) (Parent)
