Severus watched as Potter crumpled to the ground, his face contorted with hurt and betrayal.

Severus watched as blood seeped from Potter lips, marring his pale flesh.

Severus watched as Potter’s eyes fluttered shut, concealing the fading green eyes which shone with unshed tears.

Severus watched as Potter’s chest rose for the last time and a lone tear slipped down his cheek.

Severus watched the dagger fall from his hand and land on the stone floor with a clatter.

Severus watched himself in the mirror as he fell to his knees, a look of horror and regret on his face.
