Harry sat huddled in the middle of the Shrieking Shack, Cloak of Invisibility securely wrapped around his shoulders, Elder Wand in his right hand, and the Resurrection Stone gripped in his left as he successfully reunited the Deathly Hallows. It was his only hope now, and if this failed, Snape would be lost to him forever.

Harry shivered as a mist swirled around him and an eerie voice spoke.

"You are now the Master of Death and I shall do your bidding. What is it you wish?"

"I want Severus Snape, here and alive," Harry commanded.

Snape appeared out of the mist and landed with a thud at his feet. His breathing appeared normal and Harry smiled. It was good being the Master of Death. Now he could undo all of the wrongs committed during the war.

He'd start there, reviving Remus, Tonks, Fred, and work his way backwards to his parents. Harry laughed with hysterical glee as the body in his arms stirred and opened his eyes.

Harry looked down into fathomless black pools.

"You're going to be just fine," Harry promised.

Severus glared but then sighed with resignation. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

The Master of Death merely grinned.
