"What was it, Potter? What was it that sent you running? Did I get too close?"

"For fuck's sake, I thought you were dead. I didn't know what to do. Ginny offered me a chance at a normal life, a chance to have a real home. I realize now what a mistake that was, and I never forgot about you, never!" Harry shouted.

Obsidian eyes burned through Harry's soul as he slowly dropped his robe to the floor and took a hesitant step toward Severus.

As lips brushed softly against each other, Severus pulled Harry close, whispering, "I remember too."
