Summary: Harry is pleased to find a nightstand that goes with his furniture.
One-Night Stand
"It goes in the living room," Harry argued. "It matches."
"Potter, despite your delusional faith in your decorating skills, it is a nightstand. It belongs in the bedroom."
Harry sighed. It was an argument he wouldn’t win. "Oh, fine."
That night, Harry woke to something prodding him. He smiled sleepily. "Oh, Snape!"
The prodding stopped.
"Don't be a tease," Harry begged.
"Potter . . ." Snape growled.
Something bumped Harry’s bum again. He grinned. "Turkey, then?"
"Why do you choose such undignified insults?"
"Because otherwise you wouldn't be insulted."
Suddenly Harry gulped; Snape’s voice came from one side of the bed, and the prodding came from the other.
"Lumos!" he yelped. "Help! I'm being molested by the nightstand!"
"Stop overreacting."
The nightstand’s drawer was open; a corner of parchment peeked out. Harry reached in. "OW! IT BIT ME!"
Snape summoned the paper.
VENGEANCE IS MINE! Mwahahahaha! it read.
Sincerely,
Draco Malfoy
Snape smiled. "Serves you right," he said.
Grumbling, Harry put the nightstand in the hall and wedged a chair under the bedroom door. "That thing’s out of here tomorrow," he grumbled.
Snape shrugged. "That’s fine. Everyone has the occasional one-night stand," he pointed out.
Harry groaned and pulled the covers over his head.
