Not As Planned.

“My loyal servant, finally you have returned.” Voldemort hissed.

“Yes, and things did not go quite as planned.” Severus stated simply.

“My plan was perfect, the only cause of its failure could be your actions.” Voldemort waved his wand and Severus collapsed to the floor under the strain of the Cruciatus Curse. Voldemort watched him writhe on the floor in agony for a few moments before lifting the curse.

“Explain yourself. What could've possibly happened to make you fail me?” Voldemort asked.

“Because I love him more than I'd ever fear you” Severus said after he silently cast Avada Kedavra.
