Snape's got issues with fanboy!Harry
"Yeah, my grandmother was half Siren, and my grandfather's a Muggle. My uncle went to the Salem Institute, but there's no magic in my generation."
Frank Iero ("Call me Frank. Everybody does.") wandered around the apothecary's office, poking at various ingredient jars, studying their contents with wide-eyed fascination, as they waited for Mr Bryar's return from the required consultation with Healer Smythwyck. Frank reminded Snape very much of Harry as a teenager in both stature and curiosity, but without Harry's wary stillness.
He was watching Frank's fifth circuit of the room when the door opened and Harry slipped in.
"Severus, why is there a Muggle auto outside?"
Just then there was a whoosh from the Floo. Bryar tumbled out, nearly flattening Harry.
"Whoa! Sorry!" He picked them both up and brushed soot and dust from Harry's shoulders.
Instead of Harry's usual cheerful apologetic babble -- the brat was incredibly clumsy when he traveled by Floo powder, even after a decade of practice -- he stared at the newcomer, wordless. He gestured weakly, and when he saw who stood next to the now-scowling Snape, his eyes widened further.
Really, there was no reason for Harry to be so starstruck. Was he not the Boy Who Lived and Lived Again?
"Are you taking lessons in clumsy and awkward from me now, Bob?" Frank's smile and tone suggested it was a regular joke between them. Bryar smiled and shook his head, and then offered a hand to Harry.
"Hi, I'm-"
"Bob Bryar." Harry took the hand, used it to tug them both over to where Snape and Frank were waiting. "And you're Frank Iero. I love your band's music."
"Um, thanks."
Bryar's hand, when Harry released it, brushed down Frank's arm in what looked like an instinctive gesture. Their fingers brushed briefly and then parted. Snape caught the movement, and he knew from the way Harry's eyes widened that Harry saw it too. He recognized the expression of vague yearning on Harry's face; in all their years together, Harry's desire and Snape's disdain for public displays of affection were one of their few lingering disagreements.
Snape had thought, when he'd arranged this appointment, that introducing Harry to his new clients would ease the odd discomfort he'd felt since sharing the news with Harry.
