Headmistress McGonagall watched the first years enter the hall. One dark haired waif had her complete attention. She applauded politely after each child was sorted, then finally the moment so many were waiting for arrived.
“Lillian Potter-Snape”
The girl was pale, dark haired, dark eyed and had an unfortunate nose, in short ,she was the image of her father. She primly took her seat on the stool.
“GRYFFINDOR!” The Sorting Hat’s announcement was met with stunned silence then cheers.
Minerva couldn’t wait to owl Severus about his little lion. She wished she could see him break the news to Harry.
