Eclipse

um, hello. I lurked for about an hour before joining and writing this.
Right. Be kind to the new person.

Snape stood at the window, overlooking the sea; Harry sat, watching him.
The light surrounded Snape in a halo of orange and white; Harry was cast in shadows.

“There’s something different about you now,” Harry said in a soft whisper. “You don't... fight me, anymore.”

Snape turned, his features muted by the light as he approached, an ever-growing shadow.

“I’d rather save my breath.”

“For what?”

Snape’s fingers tilted Harry’s chin upwards.

“For this.”

Robes and hair and body enclosed around Harry, Snape pressing his lips to Harry's own, pinning Harry against the back of the chair. A total eclipse.
