The breathless interrogatory opened his eyes. Harry was pale under the post-coital flush.

“Sevvy summoned his dragon.”

Disentangling himself, Severus leaned over the cot, those dark eyes gleamed knowingly, the black plushie gripped in tiny hands. The jot of realization left Severus breathless. His infant son had done magic.

An unspoken spell cleaned and re-clothed them. He scooped the baby up.

“Daddy is so proud of his ickle Sevvy!” Harry gushed

“Severus James, you must not summon things, Papa does not want his little serpent hurt,” Severus admonished gently, thankful for this gift, “and Papa is also proud of you.”
