Neville looked with mild disappointment at the empty food packages in front of him. He absentmindedly swiped his tongue at the container that had held the sorbet as he hunted around for a pen and paper. Happily he found a last cookie in the tin to get him through the writing of his enthusiastic response.
Dear Debi,
I love you! I love you and I love your cooking.
I can't really offer any detailed critique of your recipes because the food was delicious and disappeared too quickly. I have to say I particularly liked the sorbet and the tea bread. You can certainly send me more if you want me to do a more thorough taste test.
Thank you also for the gift voucher and cream. I am fighting a losing battle not to have my tattoo stretched completely out of shape. I think she'll be worth it, though.
I hope all your family is well.
Love Neville
Licking his lips, Neville hoisted himself up from his desk. It would be some welcome exercise putting together the flowers he intended to send with his reply.
