Creepy and Kooky, Mysterious and Spooky - It's Halloween at the Leaky Cauldron
Characters: Anyone
Summary: It's Hallowe'en at the Leaky Cauldron!

The common room of the Leaky Cauldron had undergone a transformation. On every table was a skull with an eerie light emanating from its empty eye and nose sockets, and the room was festooned with cobwebs (even more than usual). In the air floated carved jack o'lanterns with various expressions, both benign and malevolent, and they lit the room with golden light from the candles within them. Once in a while, a flock of illusory bats circled the room and disappeared up the stairs.

Even the menu had changed, offering seasonal dishes such as eyeball soup, graveyard ghoulash, finger sandwiches, and worms in dirt on the dessert menu. There was a large bowl of sweets on the bar and a tub filled with water for apple-bobbing. In addition to various Muggle songs celebrating the season, there was an assortment of spooky noises - howls, rattling chains, creaking doors - to be heard between songs.

The placard by the bar announced the costume party, an all day affair. The scene was set, the mood was right, and now all that was needed were the guests.
