"Hi, honey!" Debi pasted on as bright a smile as she could. The only reason the house even looked like humans lived there was because she'd splurged and brought in a housekeeper from Little Luigi's Discount Rent-An-Elf. Lil, who was still very much alive, and having a great time with someone she would only refer to as "Serge," had recommended them. She'd also offered to come up from Italy polyjuiced as La Befana to give her niece a good ticking off, but Debi had talked her out of it.
Two hours with Mum, and she was beginning to wish she'd taken Lil up on it. At least now she could drink again, even if Mum had told her that she shouldn't have spent so much on the wine.
