Neville had thought that he didn't want to hear what Sirius had or hadn't known the night they had slept together, but Sirius' words were a massive relief. Neville nearly stumbled with the feeling of a heavy weight being stripped away, the very last of his doubts from that time. "You didn't know what was going on," he mumbled, and gave Sirius a much wider smile.
He shifted a little closer as Gawain had taken to Sirius as much as he took to everyone and was trying to grab possession of Sirius' arm as well as his hand. "Nimue was what my name would have been if I'd been a girl," he explained to Sirius. "I'm just waiting to see if she ends up as cunning as her namesake and starts trying to ensnare people."
