"Yes, there have been a lot of babies in the shop," Padma said. "I suppose a lot of people are settling down now, though it seems strange."
She couldn't help but feel glad that she wasn't the only one without a significant other and children; she might be assuming too much about Harry, but surely he would have mentioned having his own family by now if he had one.
"My mother is still horrified that I went along with Parvati's suggestion to open a store, instead of marrying," Padma said. She smiled wryly. "I keep telling her that just because Parvati is happily married and pregnant doesn't mean that I want the same thing right now. I think it's important to do what makes you happy. And books? Make me very happy."
