Barty wondered if he was desperate enough for a job to retell what had happened to him, but then he realised that it wasn't really about the job now that he was facing Regulus. It was about acceptance, and whether he could win that with nothing but honesty on his side.
His stiff stance relaxed as he accepted that it was all or nothing.
"That sounds reasonable," he agreed. He glanced at the door behind him. "I understand if you don't want to invite me further in, but do you think we could prevent somebody else from interrupting the conversation?"
