I'm Gonna Go To Sleep

Summary: Both Faelan and Padma are out of sorts



Faelan turned drowsily in bed, stretching into the space Padma had been occupying. She was moving about the room doing something or other, but his eyes were closed and he didn't say anything. He buried his face in the pillows, thinking of nothing except how comfortable he was, how sated, only distantly thinking about the oddity of Padma getting out of bed rather than staying and snuggling against him.

But then again, it was the middle of the day, and he knew somewhere deep down that he really could not stay in bed all afternoon, no matter how easy it could have been. He was exhausted, having spent long days at the nursery in Neville's absence, pushing himself to the breaking point, not even considering the shifting pull of the moon or such mundane things as food and sleep.

He knew he should get up, but he really couldn't think of a good reason why, so he drifted again, sleepy and numb.
